ON THE ROUTE OF CUISINE HERITAGE OF PODKARPACKIE PROVINCE

A two - day trip focused on the cuisine specialties of Podkarpacie. Our region is famous for its regional specialties, some of which date back to 17th century and survived thanks to tradition passed on to the next generations. There are 50 products from Podkarpacie registered on The Official List of Regional Specialties.

Day l
9.30 - visiting The Museum Castle in Łańcut - one of the most splendid magnate seats in Poland. It's a complex of a museum of interiors, the biggest in Europę collection of carriages and an English park. You can also see an Icon collection there.
13.00 - visiting a unique Museum - Distillery in Łańcut, sampling liquors, spirits and other specialties.
17.30 - departure for Markowa - a village with an open-air museum of old cottages dating back from 18 and 19th centuries, next a typical peasant's supper consisting of old Polish dishes including variety of meat, cured meat, dishes of vegetables and cakes. There will be an opportunity to sample local honey and traditional bread backed on cabbage leaves. Those hungry for music will have an opportunity to listen to folk music, a short lecture on customs and way of life of serves in former Poland.
A night rest in Łańcut.

Day 2
9.00 - after breakfast, leaving for Leżajsk, visiting a baroque basilica and... a concert of organ music,
11.30 - rafting trip down The River San in a galara, which is a kind of a canoe for up to 14 people, an opportunity to taste rafter's bread, variety of cured meat, desserts and Ulanów specialty "Kruszon" - alcoholic beverage.
17.30 - we are back in Łańcut,
