ON THE ROUTE OF EXTINCT OCCUPATIONS OF PODKARPACKIE PROVINCE

This one-day trip is a splendid offer to those interested in ways of life, occupations and folk art of inhabitants of former Poland. You will meet a beekeeper, a pottery maker, a wickerwork craftsman and a rafter. The workshops will last 12 hours with breaks for meals of traditional dishes.

Day l
8.00 - a visit to an apiary, lecture and show on making honey, an exhibition of various kinds of honey, treatment based on honey, an opportunity to taste honey specialties
10.00 - a visit to a pottery workshop, where a local pottery maker will reveal, all the secrets of pottery making, opportunity to make your own piece of pottery
13.30 - sightseeing Rudnik upon San, a town famous for wickerwork craft, a route of wicker sculptures, a monument of Ferdynand Hampesch, a count who initiated wickerwork industry in Rudnik, a presentation by one of the local wickerwork craftsmen
15.30 - rafting trip down The River San, a lecture on making a canoe called "galara".
18:00 - Come back to the hotel...
